The next club meeting will be Thursday, July
7th at 7 p.m.
PROGRAMS: We
are looking for programs - interesting demonstrations, movies
or stories - related to, or of interest to Amateur Radio operators
for our meetings. If you have a home-brew item that you would
like to share, a slide show of your last DX-pedition, or an
engaging tale of your ham radio prowess, we'd love to have
you share it! Contact our VP, Mike

so that he can put you on the schedule.

Meeting Minutes
Del Norte Amateur Radio Club
July 7th, 2005
Meeting was called to order at 19:13 hours, with 5 Members,
2 Guest in attendance.
Minutes June 7th Approved without corrections, Eric &
Mike (moved and seconded).
Treasure Report: $1,215.65 As of June 30th, all bills are
paid. Mike, Doug (moved and seconded).
Old Business:
- Fireworks Booth: Report by Eric, $5,807.39, gross - waiting
billing to complete what our take will be;
- Field Day Report: Mike, 327 Contacts;
- Need to do more events for practice;
- Antennas were to close & had some equipment problems;
- Logging software good, look into getting additional software
for other contesting etc;
- Antenna quality was also a problem and after discussion.
Mike, motioned for the club to purchase two (2) multi-use
dipoles and feed line. Doug, seconded, motion approved.
New Business:
- IRLP Node: After general discussion, it was agreed that
the club needed to get back the IRLP equipment from Lou
Saylor. The Node is not up at this time and it should be
under the control of the club and Lou Saylor has not been
a member for a couple of years. Motion by Eric, Chuck seconded
that the equipment be removed and a suitable home is located
for it;
- Officers Meeting Wed. Aug 31, 1900 WBH DNARC;
- Bike Race: Advised they have been in contact and it was
determined we would need 6 members and 6 members from Brookings
to cover all the areas;
- Dig A Peter: After general discussion, it was decided
that it would be a good thing to put in a Dig a Peter on
Camp 6 for APRS. Eric will get with Chris to find out what
we should do for placement;
- Mike will gather information for equipment and installation
cost (on antennas for Field Day, emergency preparedness);
- HF Radio: Doug brought up that the club used to have an
HF radio at the club house and that those who attended meetings
got on it after meetings, and it was available during emergencies.
Doug will research equipment cost and installation and Lori
will contact Humboldt to see if they have any used equipment
we could have.
