Meetings...
---
The next club meeting will be Thursday, July
7th at 7 p.m.
PROGRAMS: We
are looking for programs - interesting demonstrations, movies
or stories - related to, or of interest to Amateur Radio operators
for our meetings. If you have a home-brew item that you would
like to share, a slide show of your last DX-pedition, or an
engaging tale of your ham radio prowess, we'd love to have
you share it! Contact our VP, Mike
(KE7F) via email,
so that he can put you on the schedule.

Last Meeting Minutes (June 2005)

MINUTES OF THE MEETING
Del Norte Amateur Radio Club
June 2, 2005
Called to order by President Lori, KF6VFI at 19:13
No minutes for May; therefore, April minutes read by Lori.
Moved and seconded by Mike, KE7F and Eric, KF6VFH, respectively
Treasury report by Chuck, KG6LTQ:
- Balance of $2760.07
- All bills are paid
- Moved and seconded to accept report as read by same as
above
Old Business:
- By-Laws: Moved and seconded by Fred, AD6FC and Doug, K6DCM,
respectively, that the Club By-Laws be accepted as proposed
at the February meeting. This passed unanimously.
- A grant from "left-overs" by HARC may be forthcoming
- nothing positive, but maybe some cash and/or equipment
coming our way.
- Camp-6 Repeater: Eric reported that Chris, the technician,
has fixed an audio board and this board will cost about
$30-40. We owe Chris about $240 in fuel/travel costs for
6 trips. We gave him a pre-amp worth $120, and this will
negate 3 of the trips. We'll issue a check for the balance
if Chris will fax Chuck a bill.
New Business:
- Field Day: A general discussion revealed that we will
probably do the following:
- Set up Friday afternoon or early evening so that we
may have a camp-out, BBQ's, a good ol' fun time
- Have at least 5 stations - 4 HF, 1 UHF and possibly
more. The big Gazebo will house the GOTA station. We'll
try to tape around antennae to keep public away from
poles, guy-wires, etc.
- Mike, Chuck, and Eric will review some logging software
- Mike gave a diagram of the site with recommended placement
of stations, camps, etc. We have about 3 laptop computers
available for logging and satellite tracking, which
Eric will be doing
- Amy, KD7TAX will contact Brookings people to invite
them to all aspects of Field Day here
- Lori reported that the Ferndale Convention is this
weekend. She and Eric have a demo there on Geocaching.
There will be 26 vendor tables. Times are for Saturday
and Sunday, 9-6, with a banquet on Saturday evening
at 7
- Fireworks Booth - our presale license application
has been submitted. We will obtain our Fire Permit from
the City. We need to talk to Lindy as our booth is currently
at the high school. We also need a vehicle to haul it
from there to the site. Lori reminded us that many will
be "burned out" from Field Day, and Fireworks
Booth comes right after that, so be prepared!
Doug moved and Eric seconded that we adjourn the meeting,
and the final gavel struck at about 20:25
Respectfully submitted by Volunteer Scribe
Fred, AD6FC
